Niven Walton

Niven started in radio at 3KZ in Melbourne as an office boy later shifting to 3XY as panel operator/announcer. When television started Niven joined GTV 9 as booth announcer and did the live reads for Graham Kennedy’s “In Melbourne Tonight”.

Niven moved to the Gold Coast and was drive announcer at 2MW Murwillumbah.

After leaving 2MW he started playing drums during the heyday of live entertainment on the Gold Coast and his jazz group “Jazz Train” are still in demand at live gig venues corporate events and private functions.
