Gary Knobel

Gary Knobel retired after some 40 years’ service within the public service and CSIRO. When he retired in 2001 he worked as a management consultant to a number of high profile businesses. Along with his wife Jenni he moved up to the Gold Coast in late 2009.

Gary’s experience in community radio comes from spending 12 years at a station in Canberra (ArtSound FM92.7). As well as being a regular presenter of jazz, mix and world music programs he was President and ongoing member of the Board of Management and he also prepared and co-presented the station’s training program for new presenters.

For 2 years Gary was the Station Manager. Since arriving here on the Gold Coast Gary has been presenting regular programs on Thursday and Sunday mornings at Jazz Radio 94.1FM. He has a keen interest in all jazz music.
