Anne-Marie Von Douglas
Ann-Marie grew up in Sydney with the influence of two performer parents, singers and dancers who's music fillled her life. She attended the Sydney Conservatorium, training in Piano and Voice, with subsequent performances in local theatre productions and gigs at Red Neds, and some voice-over work at 2KY, until her teenage rebellion led her to flying away as an Air Hostess (in the days when they were still called that).
Marriage took her to Europe for 3 years and on return to Sydney, 2 daughters and the years of family raising. Moving to Currumbin Valley in 1991 and having time on her hands the music came back to the fore. She performed in several productions with the Gold Coast Little Theatre; Sound of Music (the Baroness), Auntie Mame (Agnes Gooch), various one act plays in their season and other Musicals in Sydney:- Fiddler on the Roof (Golda), Oklahoma (Ado Annie) etc.
Ann-Marie is now a Vocal coach taking private students and working for a Currumbin Performance Academy, and is also a Marriage Celebrant. She joined Jazz Radio in 2006 and her show will always contain one Sinatra track per hour (more if she can get away with it), and a good proportion of swing; her favourite.
