Jazz Radio 94.1 FM began Broadcasting in 1995 from a small studio in Sanctuary Cove. In June 2009 Jazz Radio began a new era with a move to a new location, Marina Village in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Our 5kw transmitter is on Mt Tambourine with our commercial friends.
Jazz Radio has a unique format of jazz music targeted at a growing audience keen to listen to all genres of jazz from the great vocalists and musicians of the past to the new smooth jazz sounds of contemporary artists today.
Jazz Radio broadcasts 24/7 reaching into southern Brisbane, the entire Gold Coast region…including the Hinterland… and down to the Tweed.
It is Australia’s only radio station devoted to playing jazz 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It targets a particular audience with its unique all music format of Jazz and Swing from Glenn Miller to David Campbell and Michael Buble

A national listenership survey was commissioned this year and just published in October 2008 by Market Research Company McNair Ingenuity and it found 27% of Australians aged 15+, or 4,519,000 people, listen to community radio in a typical week. That’s up another 2% over the last survey in October 2006!

Meanwhile, the Gold Coast continues to be one of the fastest growing areas of Australia. More than 500,000 people call the Gold Coast home and it’s now the 6th biggest market in Australia!
